Close to the Medieval city of Salisbury, Wisteria Cottage in Alderbury offers a very comfortable stay, with all the comforts of home. Situated on a quiet gravel road, a stones throw from the Green Dragon Pub, and in a village rich in history, you can enjoy lovely walks, and good food to compliment your stay.

You could also venture to the world famous English Heritage site, Stonehenge, visit the remains of Old Sarum Castle and Cathedral, enjoy a day at the races, or have a leisurely game of golf. Or why not take in the beautiful surroundings, and go for a walk in the New Forest! The Cathedral close has museums, stately homes and off course, the Cathedral itself. All well worth a visit. So what ever your reasons for visiting this historic city, you will not be disappointed by what is on offer. And with Southampton and Bournemouth both within easy travelling distance, you can spend the morning lapping up the history, and the afternoon on the beach!

For wedding parties, we are just 2 miles from Trafalgar House, a very popular wedding venue, and also nearby is Breamore House in Downton. 

Every guest room at Wisteria Cottage is accessed through your own front door, and the rooms are arranged around a large drive way, which leads into a pretty cottage garden.

All guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, with a washing machine and ironing facilities, and a guest lounge which looks out over the garden, and is warmed by a wood burning stove in the winter. The perfect cosy retreat!

There is plenty of storage for any bikes, walking or fishing equipment at Wisteria Cottage. Dogs are also welcome for guests staying in either of the superior double rooms or the single room via prior arrangement, and for a small additional cost. 

The standard rooms are smaller than the superior rooms, but don't be put of by that! They are all ensuite, with the twin room offering a bath, and the single and double rooms offering showers. You will have access to the guest kitchen and lounge 24 hours a day, so you can relax and help yourself to complimentary tea or coffee.

The superior double rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, as well as a flat screen TV/DVD player, hairdryer, radio alarm clocks, and all the comforts you would expect. Plus you will also have access to the guest lounge and kitchen 24 hours a day.

All rooms are accessed from the driveway, meaning with only a threshold to cross, all areas are easily accessible.

Children of all ages are welcome at Wisteria Cottage B&B (accompanied by an adult). A high chair can be provided on request. There are baby food warming facilities available at all times.
